And so it is with our diet. Those of us who are baby boomers were probably raised on home-cooked meals made with real food. It's a whole different story today. With the fast-paced life we lead and the fact that most of us live in a two-income family, it's no wonder that fast foods of every kind have replaced the simple, less complicated foods that we grew up on. When was the last time you made yourself a tuna sandwich for lunch? Simplicity still rules when it comes to a healthy body. When we get back to nature and prepare whole foods ourselves, not only do we know where it came from, but we have all the control in what we're putting into our bodies. The more "convenience" foods we purchase, the more chemicals, additives and steroids we put in our bodies; and the quality food that we do buy is being cooked to death. The incidence of cancer among people who have no family history is rising on a daily basis. It's interesting to note that the problem could be that we put more imitation food in our bodies than ever before. It is a convincing argument that diseases these days are environmentally created. Just think of how many toxins we breathe, eat, and work around on a daily basis. Could this be why so many of us get sick and can't figure out how it happened?
